Rosemary is known as an antioxidant and natural preserver.  The name of our Natural Tocopherols is Verdilox by Kemin. Verdilox is an all-natural preservatives that utilize vitamin E, green tea extract (not citric acid) to naturally stabilize food. Verdilox does contain trace amount of Rosemary Extract. Per the guidance of our manufacturer and their interpretation of AAFCO regulations, they suggest that we list Rosemary Extract on our label.
Naturox by Kemin is the most widely used antioxidant in the pet market today therefore it is important to inquire with the manufacturer specifically about Rosemary Extract & Citric Acid.
