How does auto-ship work?

Auto-ship with Sport Dog Food allows you to "set it and forget it" when it comes to making sure you always have high-quality food for your dog, but that you don't end up with extra bags taking space in your pantry. How do we do this? With a few industry-leading innovations we're happy to share with you.


















Calculating your ideal auto-ship frequency: 

The first step in our auto-ship process is our feeding calculator (pictured at right). Using your dog's weight, activity level, and the unique nutritional makeup of each of our different blends, we calculate:
  1. How much food you should feed your dog, per day.
  2. How many days that particular bag of food will last.
We use that second value as a suggested auto-ship frequency. When you add this to your cart, we'll bill you automatically on that cycle. 

But what if you feed more (or less)?

Great question, and no problem! The suggested frequency is just a start, but it will never be perfect. And the last thing you want is to run out of dog food. So when you purchase an auto-ship subscription through Sport Dog Food, we'll send you text messages to your mobile phone when you're about 75% of the way through your cycle. 

These messages give you the option to get your food sooner, or to push the next shipment out later. All you have to do is respond "sooner" or "later", and our systems take care of the rest!
